It seems we are one major event away from a melt down of major proportions. Although, I thought Katrina in 2005 might have been the catalyst, fuel supplies from Europe (IEA) saved us.

How long can this crazy debt bubble go on? Has anybody been paying attention to inflation?

I think the recent uptick in interest rates (the 10 year bond) is an indication that countries like China, So. Korea, etc., are starting to sell their US Treasuries at a faster pace? Has anybody noticed the countries that are severing thier ties to the US dollar and / or selling their oil in non-US denominated currancies? It seems to be picking up a little steam lately.

Anyway. Things seem alot more dicey that 2005. We could be one major event away from economic meltdown.
