Odd One Out

Below is a sampling of recent news reports discussing future economic prospects. See if you can tell which story is the odd one out.

"Stomach-Churning Days on Wall Street Could Lead to Recession Troubles on US Main Street"  (Associated Press)

"Economists Speculate about Possible Recession" (News Channel 8)

"Odds of Consumer-Led Recession Rising, Analysts Say" (McClatchy Newspaper)

"Recession Fear Forces Hand of US Central Bank" (The Guardian)

"The Only Way is Down" (The Scotsman)

"Fed Rate Cut Probably Not Enough" (Chicago Daily Herald)

and finally,

Time's up. If you said the last one, you win. Otherwise, please pack your bags and head straight to Washington.

Ha! Classic.

And just think what will happen when this debacle spreads to the pension funds. All those teachers, municipal workers, trade union workers etc will be in for the shock of their lives when this thing collapses and their so called annuity pesion ceases to exist. Can you imagine the amount of money that needs to be created to fund (I mean bail out) this mess. Hyperinflation here we come. Buy GOLD.
