Every moment of the day the quality of our lives is shaped by politics, the strings attached to politics is Money ie: BIG MONEY.It is foolish to look for a sense of honesty & fair play in this game.No such thing as pragmatism in this set up.Sorry to be so cynical but this is the REAL WORLD

Do you really believe Congress has any chance of investigating this? As you said, the duplicity and complicity exists on both sides of the aisle. Its time for a new brand of leadership though I doubt the American taxpayer has the ability to enact it.

There is something odd going on. If you do a web search of Arrigo, you get some truly odd sites. And only odd sites. Which is pretty weird because at least SOMEONE reputable or at least well known ought have something to say.
Possibly the story isn't true. Or possibly someone is going to a lot of effort to make sure web searches turn up only weird stuff. Either way, it's certainly anomalous. I'm solidly anti-conspiracy theory, so I'll opt for the former. But I'll say it is curious.

I loved your book and appreciate your mostly daily comments, but this Dr. SueAnn Arrigo stuff defies credulity!

Like "Jes" above, I also found much of what was in "The Populist Party" article to be, well, a bit "Forrest Gumpish" (she's everywhere with every high-ranking member of the Administration!?!).

By doing a search on her name I came up with even more "Gumpish" stories - her involvement and knowledge that AIDS was developed in US Gov't labs and her being personally asked by Cheney to go to Iran and be complicit in exposing Iran's "sham" nuclear weapons program. What's next - she was there when NASA filmed the "fake" landing on the moon?

Personally, unlike two of the above comments, I would not label "Counterpunch" a "weird" website, quite the contrary. And this article is posted there, too.

And, unlike one of the above comments, I know for a fact that Larry Franklin, the man that passed Pentagon Top Secret papers to two (now on trial) top AIPAC officials, is cooling his backside in a federal pen, convicted of Conspiracy. Read that again, Jes, learn yourself sompin.

So yes Virginia, there DAMN SURE ARE conspiracies, regardless the fervent attempt by some to blur that fact.

In reality, just the fact you have msm talking heads constantly trying to convey the idea there are no conspiracies, speaks volumes.

That said, I will need to see more verification that she is as credible a witness to the criminal conspiracies already uncovered, as Sibel Edmonds.

If we just allowed HER to speak, to give testimony to the treason, conspiracy, spying, drug running, gun running and bribery (like former Speaker Dennis Hastert taking a $400,000 bribe from ATC ( A MOSSAD/Turkish secret service front), we would not need to go much deeper to start hanging some folk. All the way to the TOP "folk", ya dig?

Thanks for putting this out on the internet, now let's see if it stands up to scrutiny. Counterpunch is not known for posting unvetted articles.....

Army Overseer Tells of Ouster Over KBR Stir

By JAMES RISEN

WASHINGTON — The Army official who managed the Pentagon’s largest contract in Iraq says he was ousted from his job when he refused to approve paying more than $1 billion in questionable charges to KBR, the Houston-based company that has provided food, housing and other services to American troops....

I have since exchanged a few emails with Linda Arrigo. She writes:

"I believe that my sister Sue Ann has been having periodic bouts of paranoid schizophrenia since about 15 years ago. She is convinced that our father was both a member of the CIA and the Mafia, and that he inducted her at a young age into intelligence activities, and that she has been under mind control since then, and subject to frequent kidnapping and threats by agents, wherever she is in the world. However, she has no material or historical evidence of this other than her later memories and physical symptoms, as she reported recently for supposedly being kidnapped in Ireland in early June 2007. I talked by telephone with my mother who was with her right afterwards and accompanied her to the doctor and the police, and my mother now believes Sue Ann is subject to hallucinations.

Our father, born 1914, served 20 years in the U.S. military, about 1941-61, in Europe, the Pentagon, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. His work was logistics, not intelligence. I lived with him in Taiwan 1963-68; my sisters had virtually no contact with him after 1962. He is senile now, in San Francisco, and I sorted through most of his papers during the last few summers. He is not a pleasant personality, but I am certain he had no such CIA contacts or capacity.

If any consistent check were made on Sue Ann's schooling and employment for the last 30 years, it would be obvious that her current allegations of service as a CIA medic are pure fantasy, even if well-informed by public knowledge of current issues in U.S. government behavior.

There are enough real victims of U.S. military and intelligence actions; it is not surprising, perhaps, that victims of schizophrenia like my sister should feed on these accounts."

The above statement came from the article, "Return From Spooksville".

A conspiracy theory alleges a coordinated group is, was, and/or will be secretly working together to commit illegal or wrongful actions. So what do you call:the overthrow of a legitimate elected government(Mossaddeq Iran by the CIA,the overthrow of Allende another legitimate elected government how about the multiple attempts to assassinate Castro. Bush's lies, cover up & falsification of truth so as to get this country in a war with Iraq.I don't want to abuse the hospitality of our host Michael Panzner so i will not list them all & there are thousands of them.

Wow. What an incredible load of crap.

Not a single credible source comes up on a quick Google search, despite the fact the first references to this were months ago. I mean really now. ConspiracyPlanet.com and PrisonPlanet.com?! With soooo many people hating Bush and Company (I'm no fan either), don't you think someone somewhere outside of the tinfoil hat crowd would have printed something?

I'm generally a fan of this blog, but this sort of thing really hurts your credibility, Michael.

Usually like your articles, but this one has "jumped the shark."

If I were Karl Rove and I wanted to keep Congress from proceeding with other investigations (Don Siegelman) that might actually result in landing me in prison, I’d concoct something like this story. What better way to throw sand in the eyes of Waxman and cohorts? So far, this just doesn’t pass the smell test. None of the MSM have picked it up–not even Raw Story which has a paid investigator on staff. For more on Ms. Arrigo (and be sure to read the comments), see:

On the other hand, I was once a whistle blower and it’s true that the opposition did unbelievable things to try to discredit me. I prevailed in spite of the misinformation campaign they waged, but that was only because I got a hand from some people in high places.

That you would link to this, and that any commenter would find this even marginally possible, Jesus wept. Five minutes Googling her and you'd see she's a loon, a schizophrenic Walter Mitty who claims to have been at the heart of, or at least uncovered, every feverish CIA conspiracy ever typed into the internet. I used to think this site was an education. But if it's also going to splash in the puddles of webanoia, no thanks.

Yes, the whole story is looney and the source isn't far behind. CIA appointed her two star general? Since when did they hae the power to do that? A sex slave of the same CIA where she claims to have been a high level operative, with instant access to the VP, Tenet, and Rumsfeld? Treated UBL in the U.S. in 2004? Kidnapped and tortured by CACI? And led a group of 200 starving Czech partisans after the fall of the "Plague Spring" to a place called "Hungaria"? All when she was 15 years old? "Remote viewing advisor" to the JCS? Why do people let themselves be taken in by this or is it that they want to believe their government is corrupt, manipulative, and makes sex slaves out of children even if it's a house of sand? (not to say that instances do occur of the first two). Also, think of this: she is trained as a nephrologist. Why would the CIA send her to check out the computers of the NYPD, allegedly hacked by the KGB? Why would a nephrologist come into all sorts of inside data on government corruption? Nothing adds up unless you are suffering from psycho issues.

The question people will have to ask themselves is why people spread these ridiculous tales on the Net without bothering to ask a few logical questions?
