Point.. counter point..what's the point?
Those who are still ruled by the reptilian
part of the brain have absolutely no knowledge
of the dialectic.

Everything you say is correct. Our national news doesn't give us the real facts because they don't bother to investigate anything--they just repeat whatever press release they got for the day.

But if you read the various economic websites, even the ones meant to get you to waste your money in the stock market, you'll find out just how the world economies are being manipulated. Greece is essentially in default, but it's being drawn out to give the hedge funds time to get credit default swaps to insure their money--while bondholders get the shaft.

Americans don't understand the connection between the European Union and us. They can't even get the connection between gas prices and Republican sabre rattling and commodity speculation. They still think Obama is a Muslim. We are so screwed....

Being an election year the in house party is doing everything within their power to create a positive spin on the economy.. Obama’s re- election depends on it..
If the economy even hints of double dip, he will have a much harder time countering the attack dogs on the right.

Also I found this interview with Professor Michael Hudson to be quite interesting, especially starting at the 12:20 mark..
According to Profressor Michael Hudson, that when Geithner went over to Europe a short time ago to convince them they need to cover US banks losses on Greek debt or else, - the EU bankers told Geithner, and this is a direct quote by Hudson: "get the hell out of here, you bastard !” Seems the US banks are into it for about $50 billion.

You know, I'd have to say that most financial news reporting is just regurgitating the spin doctors that run the country and the worlds finances.

This has been the slowest recovery after a sharp economic downturn ever, on many levels. I find it absolutely amazing that banks won't put loans out for profitable businesses that generate revenue in the 6 figures.

Banks have been absolutely hoarding money and there was zero accountability for any of the TARP money that was freely spent....taxpayer money.

Did you hear the news about the fraudulent spending at GSA? Great example of the government having zero controls of spending.
